While Francois-Henri Pinault, 50, opted for a business-like look in a black suit and white shirt, the Mexican-born actress went for a more fashion-forward monochrome effort for the event held at The Observatoire in Paris
Fresh off the runway: Salma Hayek was dressed in
a quirky Balenciaga outfit complete with monochrome geek glasses as she
arrived at the Balenciaga show with husband Francois Henri Pinault
It's pop art: Salma showed off her movie star poise in the graffiti print look as she stopped for a few pictures
Check me out: Salma removed her sunglasses as she posed inside The Observatoire at the Balenciaga show
She wore a chic black and white, waist defining dress that showed off her toned legs.
The Grown Ups 2 actress chose some unusual accessories to go with the outfit. Her wide-rimmed black and white sunglasses meant she stood out from the fashion pack.
The French capital is still enjoying some summery weather and the mother-of-one took the chance to wear some unusual open-toed black sandals for the show.
What's the hurry: Salma's husband Francois seemed in a rush to get to the show
On this occasion, it was her outfit that was the star of the show - she styled her hair in a simple centre parting.'I actually wear a lot of leather on the red carpet,' the actress said in an interview in Instyle. 'My husband loves when I wear it.'
Smile darling: Salma looked somewhat serious as Francois gazed at her adoringly
'When I turned 40, I started thinking, ‘This is the last year,’ whenever I’d wear a strapless dress,' she said. 'I always thought you can’t wear them after a certain age, but I’m still getting away with it.'
Pinault is the CEO of Kering, previously called PPR, which owns fashion brands including Gucci, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen.
The couple have a five-year-old daughter, Valentina. The stylish family split their time between the French capital and Los Angeles.
