The pair, who have always been close pals, had reportedly started feuding over Taylor's dislike of Selena's on-off boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Taylor, 23, famously made her feelings clear about Biebs, 19, when she pulled a face as he smooched with Selena backstage at the Billboard Music Awards in May.
And her disapproval of Justin is said to have affected her friendship with Selena.
‘Taylor hates him. She thinks Selena makes a mistake every time she reconciles with him,' a source tells Hollywood Life.
The 22 singer was even said to have skipped Selena's 21st birthday party last month to avoid a run-in with Justin.
But a rep for Taylor has denied any bad blood between the girls.
‘Selena and Taylor are great friends who talk almost daily,' a spokesperson says.
Last month Taylor spoke of her closeness to Selena when she wished her a happy birthday on Twitter, calling the Come And Get It songstress 'the closest thing I've ever had to a sister'.
And Selena recently confessed that she calls Taylor when she gets frustrated by fame.
