The X Factor 2013: Launch date revealed

Simon Cowell's hit talent show is set to hit our screens at the end of the month WELL that's our weekends out the window. The X Factor launch date has been unveiled at long last so say goodbye to your social life and hello to take-away's galore, as the hit reality show will be airing shows on both Saturday and Sunday. Gary Barlow and the rest of the gang will be gracing our screens again from August 31st, and there's some exciting changes in store. To start, any act that makes it through the first stage of auditions will then come back the following evening to perform again in front of the judges - complete with a spectator filled arena. An insider told The Sun: "It would look odd mixing the footage of closed auditions with the audience try-outs, so we're splitting them up."
