Gordon Ramsay has always been a high achiever when it comes to his career.
And
now the hot-tempered celebrity chef can add an IRONMAN 70.3 medal, or
tattoo, to his list of achievements after completing a gruelling
distance of 70.3 miles of swimming, cycling and running.
The
46-year-old father of four explained that after finishing the
exhausting IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship race in Las Vegas, Nevada,
which he completed on a minimal 3 hours' sleep, he was planning an inked
celebration to commemorate his efforts.

He said: 'I promised myself the minute I finished an Ironman I would get a tattoo.'
Although the potty-mouthed TV
personality said he didn't want his daughter Mathilda, Holly and Megan
to think tattoos were a necessarily a great idea.
He
added: ‘So my daughters are going to think I’m uber cool now and I’m
going to get a little IM on the back of my ankle, a discreet, small one
as I don’t want my daughters getting plastered in tattoos so early on.'
What an achievement! The 46-year-old chef explained that after finishing

The chef is famed for dishing out his
fair share of criticism, and didn't hold back on the scents he inhaled
during the tough race.
Gordon
joked: The only thing I didn't like was the food, you know when your
89k in on the bike and you start smelling hot dogs, caramelised onions
and everyone’s offering you a bite, or its hamburger or a chicken wing,
do you want to see one?
'Do you want to see a chicken wing when your 10 miles in? No.’
Gym bunny! Gordon revealed his passion for fitness started when he hit
40, beginning with triathlons and progressing the distance to an Iron
Man which was a lifelong ambition for the TV chef
Although the Kitchen
Nightmares star did reveal he used his racing time constructively to
ponder over new business ventures, and of course food, to get him
through the most difficult parts of the course.
He
explained: 'I've already thought about 3 chapters for my new book, you
have to think of food when you’re on those hills, 3 and a half hours on a
bike, you need to think of something!’
Gordon
revealed his passion for fitness started when he hit 40, beginning with
triathlons and progressing the distance to a half Ironman which was a
‘lifelong ambition’ for the TV chef.
Ramsay completed the draining World Championship race in an impressive 6 hours, 38 minutes and 36 seconds.
