The 27-year-old NBA star was having dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in Chicago on Sunday when he saw a fellow diner get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend.
He shared a picture of the event on Instagram with the caption: 'Dude just purposed to his gf right in front of me at Maestros. Wanted to video tape n yell out #WorldStar. Such a cute moment! [sic]'

Mr Hibbert was with his teammate George Hill at the Zagat-rated restaurant, which charges upwards of $50 for a main course, when they witnessed the proposal and snapped the photo.
A spokesperson for Mastro's told the Chicago Tribune that the Jamaican-American player was so moved by what he saw, he later paid the bill for the newly-engaged couple.
Mr Hibbert's more than 121,000 followers took to the comments section to applaud him for his romantic gesture.

The couple, who met while they were both at Georgetown, originally had plans to marry in Carmel, Indiana, in August 2013, but it's not clear whether the wedding ever took place.
Miss Cooke, who is from Connecticut, has her BS degree in Marketing and International Business and his currently working as a project manager in the Indianapolis area.
