'Cut the bulls***!' Oprah Winfrey gives Lindsay Lohan some home truths after her difficult behaviour and poor timekeeping threatens to derail OWN show

Oprah Winfrey unleashed a rare stream of profanities on Sunday night to tell Lindsay Lohan some truths as she urged the actress to 'cut the bulls***' during the documentary series chronicling her bid to stay sober.
Oprah unloaded on the 27-year-old actress on the third episode of Lindsay on OWN after the media mogul's film crew complained about Lindsay's difficult behavior and bad timekeeping.
But Oprah told Lindsay that she was not going to let her 'f*** up' and urged Lindsay to continue to turn her life around in an emotional heart-to-heart talk.

Oprah flew to Lindsay's family home on Long Island, New York, having been told that her documentary crew was unhappy with being 'held hostage' by the Mean Girls star
during filming.
Oprah frowned as she was given a long list of complaints about Lindsay 'screwing around' with the filming schedule and creating 'chaos.'
'Who can do any work if the person does not show up? Oh my God,' said a frowning Oprah in her car before the meeting.

'Alright the bottom line for me is what does she want? That is the most important question. Maybe she does not know what she wants and if you do not know that you end up in confusion and chaos all the time.
'I really am not interested in putting on something that is half-assed. Let it go. And I do mean that, let it go.
'My thing is, this is exactly what everyone said was going to happen, and I believed differently.

'I believed that she was ready, and that is what I said to the press and everybody.
'This will not be the end of the world. If she is not ready, then she is not ready and she should not be doing this if she is not ready.'
Oprah was then told that documentary director Amy Rice felt Lindsay was reticent to tell them what was going on in her heart.

'Maybe there is just not much going on, has anyone thought of that? Maybe there is really not that much going on? The real pain and work comes when stuff is churning up. Maybe she is in the same place when she first went into jail and the early rehab,' Oprah said.
'What is missing is that she does not seem to understand that THIS is your life. You think you have forever. She may not just have the tools or the ability to do it.'
When they sat down together Lindsay told Oprah that she was 'stressed.'

'I expected to be calm and on a schedule and routine at this point but that has not happened yet,' she told Oprah.
'Okay, so life just showed up and didn't work like you wanted it to,' replied Oprah.
Oprah then told Lindsay what she had been told by the show's producers.

'You are creating the same kind of chaos that you are accustomed to, you are creating that with everyone else and I want to know what's your side of that,' said Oprah.
'If you are not ready, I am really okay with that, if you are not ready to keep the commitment you agreed to I really am okay with it.
'My truth is that I really do want you to win, I really do.
'I know this is a lot and if that is not what you want I am okay with that. I will tell these guys to pack up and leave today.

Lindsay told Oprah that she did want to keep her commitment.
'Yes, but when you change the schedule you know what happens, you are a professional woman,' lectured Oprah.
'We have a whole team of people relying on you for this experience and documentary. If you don't want that, change it. It is okay.'
Lindsay said she was learning to deal with her new life and maintaining her sobriety.
'Hello, let's celebrate that, that is where you are in your life,' said Oprah.

That reduced Lindsay to tears.
'Wow, what does that feel like?' asked Oprah.
'It feels good,' admitted Lindsay as she told Oprah she had not strayed from her sobriety.
'I know I can't have one drink, I can't, and I play back the whole story about what I have been through to myself.
'To throw everything away is not something I am willing to do. I have also not put myself in stupid situations of going out at night to clubs.'

Then it was time for Oprah to give Lindsay one of her famed pep talks and get her back on track.
'There are masses of people who want you to win,' said Oprah.
'You need to focus on that and not the naysayers and haters. You are going to have to prove them wrong.
'The vultures are waiting to pick your bones and that should not frighten you that should liberate you.
'If I were you I would not give them that satisfaction. They are waiting.
'You need to relax, the most important work for you is the true spiritual work, your core beliefs about what is the essence of you and allowing the divine order or universal energy, I call it God, to work through you.

'You need to align with that, that is where your strength and power is. You need to start with the personal work on yourself.
'It is waiting there for you, you are here to teach us how to do it. I believe that you believe that this is your time to turn things around for yourself,' Oprah said.
'It is,' Lindsay replied.

'Okay, alright, if that is the case then you are not going to f*** this up,' said Oprah. I know you are surprised to hear me say f***. You need to cut the bulls*** you really do, just cut the bulls***. You know what you need to do.
'I feel profoundly that you do not just have head intelligence, you have heart intelligence, phenomenal things are going to come from you if you do not block them.
'You make an agreement, keep your commitments. I cannot stand up for you, back you up and be there for you if I cannot trust you,' Oprah told her.

Earlier in the show Lindsay had been shown butting heads with production staff, keeping them waiting for hours and one day refusing to do any filming at all.
She was also shown moving in to her new apartment in New York's SoHo neighborhood, and arguing repeatedly with her personal assistant Matt Harrell.
The arguments left Matt on the verge of quitting as Lindsay kept skipping meetings with him about her schedule.

Lindsay was also shown working with her sober coach, Michael Cormier, whose work was cut out for him keeping Lindsay focussed on her recovery.
'I am doing the best I can to ritualize her day a little bit in the middle of this really chaotic period and that has been not easy.
'The truth is that all of this chaos is terrible for her recovery. To have this amount of pressure and change, it is rule number one to avoid. Everyone says it is not great to move in the first year of sobriety,' her sober coach said.

Lindsay then met with celebrity health and wellness coach, AJ Johnson, where she complained about the documentary she was filming for Oprah.
'I though that I signed up something where the cameras would just be there not a reality show. No offense to the Kardashians, they do a great job, but I do not ever want to be that,' Lindsay said.
'My recovery is sacred to me and someone like Michael and my therapist and my friends at meetings. My sobriety is my life. It is the only part of my life that is private,' she added.

'I thought I could handle it and I can't. I felt so pressured to say yes and to listen to people and make everyone happy, but I should have taken more time. I am feeling a bit like I am slipping and it is scaring me. I want to feel like I felt two months ago before I started doing this,' she said.
'I do not want to lose something that I really appreciate in my life, my sanity. Nothing is more important than my sobriety and me being happy.
'In the end I look like the one who is not accountable, who is not showing up, who is hard to work with, who has not changed,' she added.
