But unfortunately, Leonardo DiCaprio did not receive the honour as he attended the 2014 British Academy Film Awards at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday.
Instead of his disappointment being caught on camera - which can often happen during awards season - the 39-year-old actor charmingly blew a kiss to the camera.

Much of the time, celebrities show disappointment when losing such a prestigious award.
But the Titanic star only wanted to spread the love, snapped puckering his lips whilst covering them with his right hand.
And of course, even without earning the title for Leading Actor - a category which also featured A-listers Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, and Tom Hanks - Leonardo looked as dapper as can be.

Still a shining star: Leo appeared sharp with his hair sleeked back as he sported a black suit
Confirming he's still one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, The Great Gatsby star opted to arrive in a sharp black suit, crisp white button-down, and shiny black shoes.
His hair was sleeked back for a sophisticated look, as he displayed unshaven yet groomed facial hair.
Though Leonardo wasn't on the receiving end, he still took the stage as a presenter.

In good spirits regardless, the Inception star was also seen mingling with his fans and signing autographs before the big gig.
Leonardo still has a chance to take home an Academy Awards, as he was nominated for the 2014 Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
The BAFTAs are the last major movie awards before the Oscars on 2 March..
The awards, which will be broadcast on BBC One at 21:00 GMT, are hosted for a ninth time by actor Stephen Fry.
