Nervous on the inside? Jimmy Fallon steps out with his wife and daughter, looking calm a day ahead of his Tonight Show debut

Jimmy Fallon is set to make his Tonight Show debut on Monday.

The day before, the 39-year-old comedian looked calm and collected while out in snowy Manhattan with his 46-year-old film producer wife, Nancy Juvonen, their seven-month-old baby daughter, Winnie, and the family dog.

He flashed a peace sign at cameras and walked his dog.

The funnyman braved the cold in a thick grey waterproof parka over a light brown sweater, red top, dark pants, and brown lace up shoes.
He carried a briefcase in one hand.

Jimmy is pumped to kick off his new highly prestigious role.

'I wish Steve Allen and Johnny were still alive so they could see what we’re doing with the show and how we’re keeping it classy and glamorous, but we’re also being silly,' the father-of-one recently told New York Daily News - alluding to previous Tonight Show hosts Steve Allen and Jimmy Carson.

'Back then, they did sketches like having Steve Allen in a giant bowl pretending to be a banana split and getting chocolate syrup poured on him,' Jimmy said.

'That’s so fun to watch, and they were doing that back in 1953. So I’m happy to dress up as a piece of celery and jump into a giant bloody Mary — that’s exactly the kind of thing we should be doing.'
Jimmy has his audience in mind.
'Everyone works so hard and when they come home they want to watch something silly,' the Brooklyn native said. 'I imagine them saying, "You do the work, you make me laugh."'

As a child, Jimmy was a fan of Tonight and Saturday Night Live - staying up late to watch Carson's monologue when his parents allowed it.

In high school, he began taping all the shows.

'I was like a human TiVo,' he said. 'I would tape sketches from Tonight and SNL and take them over to my friends’ houses or parties.

'I was YouTube before it existed, showing everyone I could funny clips from video tapes.'
