And while it's never easy to compensate for some holiday overindulgence, the 46-year-old actress had a secret weapon by her side on Saturday as she was spotted with a hunky personal trainer.
The Moulin Rouge! star looked cheerful after a surge of endorphins, and no doubt her trainer's good looks also helped eased the pain of her gruelling spinning workout in West Hollywood.

The statuesque blonde shielded her face from the sun with a black cap and sunglasses, and carried a water bottle.
The Stepford Wives star was participating in her regular workout routine – which she recently told Parade consists of running, spinning, and tennis.
Her work out comes following a holiday vacation spent in Australia with family, which was perhaps abundantly flowing with delectable eats.
‘I’m not that strict,’ Nicole said of managing her holiday diet. ‘I think it’s a time to enjoy and then in the New Year, I tend to step it up.

Of her diet, she says she has a pretty diverse palette.
‘I eat everything, except I’m allergic to strawberries. So basically, a little bit of everything—the name of one of my husband’s songs,’ the Cold Mountain star said.
As for maintaining a healthy consciousness, Nicole said, ‘I love to meditate and I try to always do something active each day.

Meanwhile, Nicole is still maintaining a robust career. In her latest film, she stars alongside Colin Firth in the Railway Man.
Nicole plays Patti Lomax, the wife of a former prisoner of war (Colin) who suffered terrible torture building the Burma railway.
With three films currently in pre-production, she will soon also be seen in the drama The Family Fang opposite Jason Bateman, the thriller Strangerland with Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce, and Queen of the Desert.
