Caprice gets back in model shape after 12 weeks... by breastfeeding her new babies

What a difference three months makes.
The photograph on the left shows Caprice Bourret just before she gave birth.
And the one on the right, remarkably, was taken just 12 weeks later, thanks to a regime mostly made up of breastfeeding and long walks in the park.
Caprice gave birth to a son in September, a month after having another son by a surrogate.
Following a miscarriage and three failed IVF attempts, the 42-year-old businesswoman and model was convinced she would never have children, so she hired a surrogate to carry her biological child – only to become pregnant herself a month later, entirely naturally.

Now she has two adorable sons, Jett and Jax – and an astonishing figure, in part thanks to breastfeeding both of them.
In the early days she was feeding each of the boys seven times a day for 20 minutes at a time, while also running her lingerie and swimwear firm, By Caprice.
But the hectic schedule meant that exercise was put on the backburner. And she craved foods such as pizza, which meant her usual low-calorie diet went out of the window.
But she still ‘lost 15 pounds pretty quick’. ‘You burn 500 calories per child per day,’ she said. ‘So I’m burning, just by breastfeeding, 1,000 calories per day and most importantly giving my boys the nutrition they need.’
She had to stop breastfeeding a few weeks ago as she could no longer provide enough milk for both boys, who are big for their age and were demanding ten ounces each.
So her sons went on to formula, and Caprice returned to her old diet of broccoli, tofu and lentils – or ‘rabbit food’ as she calls it. Portions are small, carbohydrates are banned and she doesn’t eat anything after 5pm.
She said: ‘Trust me. I could look at food and gain weight. My whole life I’ve had to watch it. And then remember I’m from the modelling world so vanity was a means of income so weight control was a definite priority.’

But she insisted: ‘So long as you don’t have a medical condition you can lose the baby weight. If you don’t then you’re just not disciplined enough, I’m telling you right now, it’s not easy but it can be done.’
She extends that discipline to her boys, who have a highly structured day which includes sensory learning and ‘tummy time’ to help strengthen their neck muscles.
Indeed, she and her partner Ty Comfort have already enrolled their sons at their first school, Wetherby Preparatory – the exclusive London public school where Prince George is rumoured to be going.
Caprice said: ‘I have worked very hard all these years to ensure the best I could provide for my children and I will spend whatever is needed on education.’
She added: ‘In my 20s and early 30s it was all about me me me, I want to make a s***load of money... But I swear, when I saw my boys, one of them coming out of someone else’s stomach and the other one coming out of mine, just the love that you have, you don’t think about yourself at all. Everything I do now is all for them.’

As a self-styled lifestyle coach, Gwyneth Paltrow believes women can transform themselves by adopting healthy diets and fitness.
But those not on Hollywood salaries may find the cost of the actress’s latest drink recipe a little too hard to stomach.
Her ‘Warming Winter Detox’, a peppermint hot chocolate, will cost you £50 to put together.
One of Miss Paltrow’s previous culinary creations led a food critic to claim she had a ‘Marie Antoinette detachment from reality’ and true to form, her latest concoction, published on her lifestyle blog Goop, contains a number of highly expensive ingredients.
The baffling list – which includes almond butter, liquid chlorophyll and spirulina powder – makes it sound more like a chemistry experiment than a hot drink.
Fans who want to save themselves some cash may resort to leaving out the ‘optional’ chocolate protein powder but even without it the other ingredients are unlikely to be found for less than £38.
Despite its prescriptive demands, Miss Paltrow promises readers that her detox menu ‘won’t leave you feeling cold and hungry during the winter’.
Miss Paltrow has faced persistent criticism over the advice she posts on Goop with many mothers accusing her of having lost her grip on the real world.
The star has spoken proudly about her daughter Apple’s choice to become a vegetarian, a decision that she came to ‘entirely on her own’, aged just seven.
And this is how you make it...
