Leonardo DiCaprio greeted by hundreds of Japanese fans as he arrives for The Wolf Of Wall Street Tokyo premiere

Leonardo DiCaprio got a very warm welcome when he landed in Tokyo, as hundreds of Japanese fans had turned out to greet the Hollywood star.
Wearing a flat cap as usual, Leo smile as he walked through Haneda International Airport and waved to the gathered crowd on Monday.
The 39-year old even stopped to sign a few autographs on his way out, ahead of The Wolf Of Wall Street premiere in the city.

Some of the signs congratulated Leo on his fifth Oscar nomination for his role as Jordan Belfort in Martin Scorsese's latest film.

Leo has received a nod in the category of Best Actor, and will be up against Matthew McConaughey, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Christian Bale and Bruce Dern.
DiCaprio has already won Best Performance by an Actor in a Comedy at the Critics' Choice and Golden Globe Awards this season, but has yet to ever take home a gold statue from the Academy Awards.

Leo's first Oscar nomination came in 1994 for his supporting role as the mentally disabled younger brother on Johnny Depp in What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
He was then nominated in 2005 and 2007 for his respective leading roles in The Aviator and Blood Diamond.
As well as a Best Actor nod for The Wolf Of Wall Street, it also has a Best Picture nomination, which means Leo could get his first Oscar for his producing role rather than acting.

His co-star Jonah Hill also got his second Best Supporting Actor nomination, and spoke about the experience on the film during his Saturday Night Live opening monologue.
Jonah invented and relayed a conversation that he swore happened between himself and Martin Scorsese, wherein the esteemed director apparently noted his preference for Jonah over Leo, saying he wasn't sure if the latter actor could 'handle it'.
Cue, Leo walking in from the wings to confront Hill, but in the end, they recreated that famous moment from Titanic, where the actor made Jonah his Rose.
