Oprah on top! Winfrey's laughs and cries as she celebrates dual honors with both a Screen Actors Guild nomination and leadership award

After receiving two massive honors before noon, it's safe to say that Oprah Winfrey is having a fabulous morning!
On Tuesday morning, the 59-year-old media mogul was nominated for a best supporting actress award by the Screen Actors Guild for her work in Lee Daniels' The Butler. It was the former talk show host's first SAG nomination for her acting work.
In an interview with E!, Oprah revealed that she wasn't attempting to garner a nomination as much as she was just attempting to not humiliate herself in front of the other actors.

'For someone who was trying not to embarrass myself, it is amazing,' said the television personality.
'The best part is it is a jury of your peers,' said Oprah. 'It's people who do this for a living—don't make me cry now!—It's people who do this for a living saying we're going to give you a vote. We think what you did deserves this.'
The Butler is Oprah's third film outing as an actress. Other roles include 1998's Beloved and 1985's The Color Purple, which earned the former talk show host an Oscar nomination.

And as if the nomination wasn't enough, Oprah was later recognized for her work by The Hollywood Reporter, who honored the TV tycoon with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at the 22nd annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
The double honor had Oprah beaming from ear to ear, enjoying the lavish setting and the company of her peers while she basked in the glow of her achievements.
For the event, the Oprah wore a simple black cocktail dress, perfect for the daytime affair. The three-quarter length sleeves and plunging neckline flattered the media proprietor's full figure, giving her an air of dignity as she addressed the crowd.

Journalist and activist Maria Shriver presented the pioneering TV host with the honor.
While there, Winfrey took a little time to hobnob with celebrity guests and high-powered well wishers, looking to congratulate the former Queen of Daytime TV on her Screen Actors Guild nomination.
The media goddess was seen at the arm of director Lee Daniels, as the two celebrated their good fortune with the morning announcements.

Daniels' The Butler not only scored a supporting actress nomination for Oprah, but the film also earning a best actor nod for Forest Whitaker and best performance by a cast in a motion picture.
Also at the event to support her gal pal was longtime bestie Gayle King, who wore a blue and black empire waist frock with short geisha sleeves.
Other celebrities at the event included the Kardashian Klan of Kim, Kloe and Kris and fiance Kanye West, Cat Deely, Judy Greer, Demi Lovato, Alyson Hannigan and Jane Fonda, to name a few.

The daytime event coincided with The Hollywood Reporter's annual Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment list, in which Oprah had been featured on numerous occasions.
Oprah is one of the richest woman in the world, with a net worth totallying $2.9 billion. Her empire includes the TV network OWN, two Oprah magazines (O and The Oprah Magazine) and the production company Harpo, just to name a few.
