‘The way I ride I’ll be walking out of here’: Pierce Brosnan struggles with his classic motorbike as he films in Cambridge

He’s known for his high-speed escapades as the suave James Bond.

But as Pierce Brosnan sat astride a classic Triumph Bonneville motorbike for his latest role, he admitted that his riding skills were not up to scratch on Wednesday.

The 60-year-old Irish actor is playing a Cambridge professor for his latest film, How To Make Love Like An Englishman, and was spotted being filmed leaving the city for London on his bike.

But the star seemed to be having difficulty balancing the vehicle as he was filmed outside Clare College and said: ‘The way I ride I’ll be walking out of here’.
When asked what he thought of the city, the Irish actor said: ‘It's grand.’
The actor looked dapper in a tan-coloured blazer and a scarf, worn with a shiny black helmet and brown biker boots, as he filmed the scenes.

In the new film, Pierce is plays a sexaholic English professor who gets Jessica Alba's character Kate pregnant before falling in love with her stepsister ( Salma Hayek) which forces him to re-think his life of excess.

The star ate at Cambridge's Michelin-starred Midsummer House restaurant on Tuesday.

His meal was prepared by a Great British Menu TV chef Daniel Clifford, who later tweeted: ‘Got 007 in for dinner but which one is it.

‘I tell you all in a couple of hours got to cook his dinner now.’

Meanwhile, Pierce’s wife Keely, 50, is reportedly jealous about the star’s friendships with his co-stars Jessica and Salma.

‘Salma and Jessica have enormous crushes on Pierce and they aren’t shy about letting him know,’ a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

Jessica is reported to have made a joke scrapbook for the James Bond star, which has upset Keely.

The source said: ‘It was filled with cutout pictures of a strapping young Pierce,’

‘She meant it as a friendly joke, but Keely wasn’t laughing. Now Keely shows up on set unannounced to monitor Pierce, and she’s giving Jessica and Salma the cold shoulder.’
