Danny boy! John Travolta sports Zuko style quiff on the set of his new film The Forger... but this time he's playing the bad guy

His Grease alter ego might well have acted the tough guy, but Danny Zuko was as soppy as they come underneath the leathers and the giant black quiff.
And while the bouffant is back for the 59-year-old's new film, the bad boy with a heart of gold from 1978 couldn't be further removed from John Travolta's new criminal character.
The Scientologist was on set in Boston on Monday for the first day of shooting on the Richard D’Ovidio penned movie, The Forger.

The heist flick sees Travolta take on the role of artist turned thief Ray Cutter, ably abetted by the legendary Christopher Plummer, 83.
John's protagonist pays to get out of jail so he can tend to his sick son (Tye Sheridan) but he arranges to do one last job with his father Ray (Plummer) to repay the cartel that sprung him loose.
Pride and Prejudice and Zero Dark Thirty star Jennifer Ehle is on board as Cutter's wife.

Travolta seems to be embracing darker roles as he ages.
The actor recently confessed he has a burning ambition to play a Bond villain: ‘I’d love to play a bad guy in James Bond,’ he told the Daily Telegraph.
John is a huge fan of the suave spy, admitting that he admires 007’s most recent reincarnation, portrayed by Daniel Craig:
‘I have two favorite Bonds: Sean Connery and Daniel Craig. They both have ruggedness, class and suave,’ he adds.

Big hair, big heart: Danny Zuko was no criminal mastermind like Travolta's new character
