But on Monday Nicole Kidman returned to the genuine article as she flew into Tinseltown itself - Los Angeles.

The statuesque 46-year-old mother of two had been lending her support to the inaugeration of the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis.

She appeared alongside other cinema greats including Leonardo DiCaprio, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Ewan McGregor, Christoph Waltz. and John Travolota at the sprawling complex funded by China's richest man, Wang Jianlin.
