But the pair could not be further from their troubled characters onstage.
Craig plays a cuckolded husband whose wife cheats on him for seven years with his best friend.
The famous couple married back in June 2011 after meeting on the set of horror flick Dream House.
The chemistry between the pair on screen is obvious in the film which sees Craig play a successful publisher who quits his New York City job to move his wife [Weisz] and two daughters to a small town.
Famously reluctant to speak about his personal life, the Chester-born actor recently spoke about his wife Rachel in effusive terms.
'I’m far happier than I’ve been for many years,' Daniel told The Telegraph. 'I think finding the right person and being with the right person is probably the answer to most things.'
Meanwhile, Craig has signed on to do two more Bond films, following the smash hit success of Skyfall which became the highest grossing film worldwide for Sony Pictures.
Craig, who is also the highest grossing actor to play James Bond, was reported to be interested in purchasing a 1,050 acre Dalby Hall Estate in Lincolnshire for £12 million following an extensive house-hunt with his 43-year-old wife.
According to RadarOnline, Craig now has his heart set on the Victorian pile, which covers 10,000 square feet and boasts eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and four half-bathrooms.
