Chavez" at AMC Empire on Monday
Rosario was joined on the red carpet at the AMC Empire theatre by former Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera.
In the Diego Luna-directed film Chavez, a movie about Mexican-American civil and labor rights leader Cesar Chavez, the actress plays activist Dolores Huerta in the film
She told the New York Daily News how the film ‘humanised’ the story of the Mexican rights leader.
'Diego touched on a lot of different aspects of the movement, and the reality and the temperature of the time, as well as the day-to-day sacrifices that everyone had to take on.'
'The film doesn't idolize anyone, it doesn't put anyone on some sort of false pedestal. I think he humanized the entire process.'
