According to WWD, the 37-year-old New Orleans-born actress has hired former C Wonder president Andrea Hyde to be the CEO of her new company, which will 'emphasize [her] Southern roots and personal style'.
No other details have been revealed about the brand, which is set to launch in 2015.

While it's not clear exactly what Ms Witherspoon's forthcoming brand will entail, a recent picture of her attending a cooking class with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore may provide some clues.
In the Instagram image, which was taken at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, the trio grin in matching chef's aprons and hats, posing alongside several food experts.

Although this isn't her first venture outside of acting, (Ms Witherspoon, who is married to talent agent Jim Toth, previously owned a production company called Type-A Films) it will be her first attempt at the already celebrity-filled lifestyle sector.
Along with launching Goop in 2008, Ms Paltrow has also written two cookbooks called My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness and It's All Good.

Other celebrities who have voiced their interest in starting lifestyle companies include 26-year-old Blake Lively, who announced in September she'd be launching a brand similar to Goop.
The Gossip Girl actress previously revealed that Martha Stewart and Nigella Lawson are some of her inspirations.
Meanwhile Jessica Alba's lifestyle website The Honest Company highlights ways to live a healthier and more sustainable life, and Drew Barrymore recently launched Flower Beauty, her own skincare line made in the U.S.
