The Americans actress Keri Russell's home burgled in early hours of the morning while she slept

eri Russell's New York home was broken into in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 37-year-old actress, who stars in FX series The Americans, was reported to be asleep on the basement level of her Brooklyn Heights townhouse when the two men broke in through an open first floor window at around 3.40.am
TMZ reports that Keri was woken by noises upstairs. Upon investigating, she discovered her living room door and window were wide open.

According to New York Post's Page Six, Russell discovered a Filson bag, Macbook air and jewellery was missing and later reported the theft to police.

The alleged burglars were caught after they broke into another home and the resident there called  police who 'canvassed the area' according to the report.  
Two men are currently being questioned in connection with the thefts.

It is not known whether Russell's children River, six, Willa Lou, nearly two, or husband Shane Deary were in the house at the time.

She was spotted on the set earlier this week, sporting a bright red blouse, rust coloured suede skirt and knee-high black boots. 
Set in the 1980s, the show revolves around married couple Elizabeth (Russell) and Phillip Jennings (Matthew Rhys), a pair of KGB spies posing as an American couple in the Washington DC suburbs.
