Terrence Howard beats the winter chill in style at NYC premiere of new film The Best Man Holiday

He was recently ordered to stay at least 300 yards away from ex-wife Michelle Gent until 2016 after she accused him of domestic abuse.

But Terrence Howard looked in good spirits on Monday.

The 44-year-old was suave in a black velvet jacket and Burberry scarf as he posed on the red carpet at the premiere for his new film The Best Man Holiday in New York City.

The star wore cream slacks and a white shirt paired with black shoes.

He finished off the debonair look with a pink handkerchief in his breast pocket and a
black beanie on his head.

Terence plays Quentin in the Christmas comedy-drama, which is the sequel to the 1999 film The Best Man.

In September, a judge made a permanent and extended a previous restraining order that the film star should not go within 100 yards of ex wife Michelle Ghent.

The decision follows an alleged domestic violence attack during a family getaway to Costa Rica in July.

The star, who appears opposite Oprah in the summer smash hit The Butler, did not contest the new terms of the restraining order.

He also agreed to pay all of his ex-wife's $14,800 legal fees, reported TMZ.

Also at the premiere were Terrence's co-stars in the film Sanaa Lathan, Melissa De Sousa and Nia Long.

The movie takes place at a 15 year Christmas reunion, where old friends discover the same rivalries and romances from their college years.
The film also stars Taye Diggs and Eddie Cibrian.
