She is most often seen
looking glam on a red carpet or showing off her fighting spirit on the
big screen, but Hilary Swank proved that she can be professional too.
The
Oscar-winning actress was fresh-faced and wearing only light make-up as
she stepped out of a bank in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles on
Thursday.
With a binder of
documents tucked under her arm and a purse in her hand, the 39-year-old
appeared as if she she been talking some serious business with a
financial expert inside.
Pristine professional: Hilary Swank had her papers and purse in hand as she left a Los Angeles area bank on Thursday
Dressed in a cream embroidered
blouse and pale blue jeans, Swank's feminine but smart outfit offset her
stone-faced expression as she was spotted staring intently at a
message
on her cell phone.
The five foot six Freedom Writers star wore flat turquoise ballet pumps on her feet and her long hair fell loose and straight.
With
her fighting figure from Million Dollar Baby still in tact thanks to
regular workouts at Equinox Fitness in Santa Monica, Swank looked lean
and fit.
Intense: Swank showed the same focus that won her the role of a female boxer in Million Dollar Baby
After showing her tough side in the
boxing biopic that won her the Academy Award For Best Actress, it's long
been know that Hilary isn't a Hollywood push-over.
She
has since played an activist teacher in Freedom Writers, a mother who
lost her son to malaria in Africa in Mary and Martha, and flying legend
Amelia Earhart.
Having
grown up in a trailer park in Nebraska, Hilary and her mother lived out
of a car when they first moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of
being an actress.
Business-like: Hilary has always been responsible since growing up in a trailer park
The gritty upbringing paid off
in her performances, and she showed her strength early on playing a
martial arts expert in The Next Karate Kid, which impressed the original
movie's star.
'She can kick butt,' said Karate Kid actor Ralph Macchio, reported Female First. 'She's
an athlete, she has strength, serious fighting skills, is surprisingly
large and dresses in a way that hides how big she really is. I'd go down
with a single punch.'
The
multi-talented Boys Don't Cry star's latest role was also as a
producer, as she shared the helm on You're Not You, which co-stars Josh
Duhamel, Emmy Rossum and Ali Larter.
Boxing babe: Hilary pulled no punches in 2004's Million Dollar Baby in the role that won her an Oscar
