But it seems Jay Z and Chris Martin are far more down to earth than ever expected as just hours before whipping out there Oyster cards the music giants were seen taking a stroll in North London.
Looking less like music stars and more like your average Joe the close pals made their way to a business meeting once again via a surprising mode of transport - by foot.
On foot: Chris Martin and Jay Z were seen walking around London on Saturday before catching the tube
Low-key: Both Jay and Chris looked very unassuming as they made their way to a business meeting before the show
As per usual Chris looked very dress down and could have gone unnoticed with his worn jacket and cap.
Even Mr Carter looked understated, with the only sign of his rapper status being the gold necklaces around his neck.
Later
that day 43-year-old Jay was spotted travelling on London’s underground
with Chris Martin producer Timbaland, manager Ty Ty and Atlanta Records
executive Michael Kyser.

The stars were spotted arriving at Waterloo train station so that Jay-Z could catch the Tube to his sold-out Magna Carta Holy Grail Tour.
After stunned commuters realised who was travelling in their carriage, they expressed their surprise on Twitter.
One traveller wrote: ‘Coming off the tube and I see Jay Z casually walking up the next escalator next to me… EVERYONE GOES NUTS!! WTF??!’
Unexpected: Jay-Z, Chris Martin and producer Timbaland gave commuters a surprise as they took the Underground
Hanging around: Rapper Jay Z was seen patiently waiting for the Tube with his entourage
The surprise performance proved a hit with the audience, with one fan tweeting: ‘Jay z, Chris Martin & timberland!!! Not bad for a Friday night,’
This is not the first time that Jay-Z has caught the train. Last year, he took the R train in New York to his concert at the Barclays Center.
Other celebrities who have been spotted on London's Underground have included Rihanna, Muse's Matt Bellamy, Florence Welsh, Kim Cattrall and Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s anticipated Made In America documentary premiered on Friday.
The docu-film takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Made In America Festival, with commentary and performances by Jay Z, Janelle MonĂ¡e, Odd Future, Gary Clark, Jr., Jill Scott, Run DMC and more.
Another fan of the Underground: Rihanna wore a pair of thigh-high leather boots at Waterloo station in January
Relaxing on the Tube: Game Of Thrones star Richard Maddenon is another public transport user
