Police are now
investigating whether CCTV footage captured by a nearby shop shows the
moment the sickening thieves stole the phone.
The video taken by CCTV at Vip Consult shows the moped collide with the woman.
A number of passers-by can then be seen to rush to her immediately after the collision.
Chriss George, who
runs the shop which offers security and CCTV services as well as
computer and phone repairs, said he checked the cameras the day after
the accident.
He told
MailOnline: 'I had a lot of customers in the shop on that day so I saw
the police and realised that something had happened but I didn't really
see what it was at the time.
'I heard the sirens from the police and the ambulance but I didn't realise until the next day when I heard what had happened.'

carried out while she lay helplessly in the road following a road
traffic collision, and we are extremely keen to trace the offenders.

mobile phone taken is a large Samsung model, and I am keen to hear from
anyone who may have been offered this type of phone for sale in strange
circumstances or for an unusually low price.'
The
first offender is described as a white man aged in his forties, with
fair cropped hair. He was wearing a light green, collared jacket which
was zipped up to the top.
