It's all about fashion, darling! Victoria Beckham takes a break from NYFW... to hit the shops in zip back pencil skirt

It’s the time of year when fashion is at the forefront of her mind, even more so than usual.
And showing just how dedicated she is to her art Victoria Beckham took a break from looking at clothes on the runway at New York Fashion Week to clothes on the shop floor as she indulged in a spot of retail therapy.
But instead of taking the opportunity to showcase an eye-catching design the 39-year-old kept it simple and chic in a zip back pencil skirt for the shopping trip on Thursday.

The tight fitting skirt from her pre season Spring Summer 2014 collection, which was
slightly unzipped around the knees to make walking a little easier, showed off the mother-of-four's very slim figure.
She teamed the skirt with a matching top that was cropped around the waist and featured a slight collar.
In keeping with the low-key but undeniably stylish look she carried a black bowling style leather handbag from her own collection.

And in true Victoria style her outfit wouldn’t have been complete without a pair of black stiletto heels and large square sunglasses.
With her long brown locks falling around her shoulders the one time Spice Girl made a stop at the J. Crew store in Soho, New York.
As she perused the store it wasn’t long until large numbers of passers-by stopped to see who the big star was and as she left she was greeted by a large group of fans eager to get a picture of the fashionista.

It seems Victoria decided to treat herself to a little gift, or perhaps one for her children or even David, as her assistant left the store carrying a bag for her.
Victoria has been extremely busy at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, having just shown own her collection Sunday.
And as one of the most important weeks in fashion kicked off Victoria took to Twitter and wrote: 'Lets dance fashion bunnies, its fashion week! X vb.'

Her look on Thursday was a far cry from the billowy tent dress she opted for on Monday.
The blue 1960s-inspired frock had a quilted texture and featured pockets and a wide, drop-waist with a ribbed, high-low skirt.
While many felt the dress swamped the star’s tiny frame, fearless Victoria revealed it was in fact her favourite piece from her collection.
'My favourite piece from #VVB #SS14, shot by Jamie Hawkesworth,' Victoria tweeted to her 6.7 million followers.
