'She touched my heart and I will never forget her': Beyonce sends note and 90 white roses to grieving Australian family of teenage cancer patient Chelsea Lee James

Beyoncé has paid her respects to Australian teenager Chelsea Lee James by sending a bouquet of 90 roses to her family after she lost her battle with cancer.
The 15-year-old Newcastle resident died in hospital last Monday after a decade-long stint with the disease.
Chelsea’s mother, Donna James, received a vase filled with 90 white roses and a personal card signed off with Beyoncé’s name on Thursday.
‘Donna, love and prayers to you and your family. Chelsea was a beautiful girl and I am so happy I was able to meet her. She touched my heart and I will never forget her,' the card read.

Chelsea was famously drawn on stage by her idol Beyoncé during a 2009 concert in Sydney.
The singer serenaded Chelsea in front of more than 20,000 people at Acer Arena as she dedicated her last song Halo to the young cancer patient.
They met a second time last November after children’s cancer charity Camp Quality organised a backstage meeting during Beyoncé’s Mrs Carter world tour.
She dedicated Destiny Child’s anthem Survivor to the teen, yelling out: ‘Yeah Chelsea’ after the chorus.

Beyoncé later sent a text message to Chelsea’s family saying: ‘My beautiful angel! Thank you for the pictures. You have no idea how happy you made me seeing you. I will see you next time I’m in Australia. Love, Beyonce.’
The flowers, sent through a New York florist, proved Chelsea and Beyonce shared an ‘amazing bond’, according to Ms James.
‘There was a connection there for sure, there was something about the both of them,’ she told the Newcastle Herald.
‘Chelsea passed away with a smile on her face, and I know that smile is even bigger now.’

Earlier in the day she posted a desperate message calling her son Ryan to Chelsea's bedside.
'All my family need to get up to see Chelsea ASAP hurry someone see Ryan tell him to get up the hospital ASAP,' she wrote.
Tributes have since flowed in for the girl who touched thousands of hearts when the video of her on stage with Beyonce went viral.
One user wrote: 'I have had the pleasure and honour of supporting her on her journey. A (sic) brave little girl, taken too soon.
'To say I’m devastated is the understatement of the year. God bless you little one.'
Chelsea is survived by her mother Donna, father Brian and siblings Ryan, Jasmine and Beau.
