Reese Witherspoon stepped out in the Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Friday accompanied by her two oldest children, Ava aged14, Deacon, aged 10. The kids are nearly as tall as their petite mom.

The lookalike threesome were headed to the Tavern restaurant for a little lunch and family bonding time.

The blonde Oscar-winner looked good in faded jeans, a turquoise sweater and a black leather motorcycle jacket with quilted detail at the shoulders.

She wore short beige booties and carried an extra-large beige hobo bag and covered her makeup-free face with large sunglasses. A couple of long pendants accessorized her ensemble nicely.

The star of her outfit was the large, camel Mountie hat with a thin black band. It looked like something she might have borrowed from Pharrell Williams.

Her husband, agent Jim Toth, was there too, but there was no sign of her youngest child, Tennessee, 19 months.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the Sweet Home Alabama star is following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow by launching her own lifestyle company.

According to WWD, the New Orleans-born actress has hired former C Wonder president Andrea Hyde to be the CEO of her new company, which will 'emphasize [her] Southern roots and personal style.'

No other details have been revealed about the brand, which is set to launch next year.

The mother-of-three can next be seen on the big screen as real-life grieving mother Pam Hobbs in the crime drama Devil's Knot, which will hit theatres May 9.
The film, also starring Colin Firth and Dane DeHaan, chronicles the controversial West Memphis Three trial.
She can also be seen reunited with her Walk the Line co-star Joaquin Pheonix in Inherent Vice, in which drug-using detective Larry 'Doc' Sportello investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend.
