Despite wife Khloé Kardashian having filed for divorce from the troubled basketball star three months ago, the 34-year-old has opened up about his hope for a future with the woman who stood by him
for so long.

the star reveals he will soon be heading back to Los Angeles - and hopefully into the arms of his estranged wife.
'I'm going to see Khloé. I'm going to see her soon,' the hopeful-sounding NBA player shared of his plans.
Having briefly relocated to Spain, where he was playing for the Baskonia basketball team until an injury cut short his season, the athlete is now focused on getting his life in order.
'I'm focusing on getting better,' he tells the publication.
And it seems that part of getting back on track means not only making amends with his ex, but hopefully reuniting with her, too.
Ready to fight for his marriage: The troubled
basketball star told the publication from his hotel in New York, where
he's receiving physical therapy for a back injury sustained while
playing with Spanish club Baskonia, he's 'focusing on getting better'
and is 'going to see Khloé soon'
'He confessed his feelings and cried his heart out to her on the phone,' an insider tells the magazine of the conversation that occurred in mid-March and turned everything on its head as far as Khloé's concerned.
The source adds: 'She’d been avoiding his texts and calls for weeks, but when she heard him pleading with her to take him back, she melted.'
Whether purely coincidental or not, Khloé took to Instagram on March 16 - the same day Lamar sat down with In Touch - to share a poignant message with fans.
The inspirational image posted to her account hinted that a reconciliation wasn't completely out of the question despite the pair still having plenty of obstacles to overcome.

'I am full of compassion and kindness. I won’t just look for a miracle; I will become someone’s miracle by showing God's love and mercy everywhere I go. This is my declaration.'
Speaking to Australia's 2Day FM breakfast radio show on Tuesday, the most outspoken of the Kardashian clan admitted she's still in the healing process following her shock split from her husband of four years.
'It's definitely not anything I'm through,' she said. 'I'm going through it, but I'm not through it.'
Opening up to hosts Mel B, Sophie Monk, Jules Lund and Merrick Watts, Khloé revealed the hardest thing is having to relive her marriage breakdown through her family's reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Heading back to LA: Earlier this year, the
34-year-old escaped his troubles by relocating to Spain, to play for
club Baskonia - pictured here on February 21 - but his season was cut
short following a back injury
His only hope: Despite being dropped from the
Clippers following the revelation of his alleged drug use and subsequent
DUI, the athlete was picked up by the Spanish team to play in the
Euroleague
Khloé and Lamar's love story was a whirlwind, with the pair marrying on September 27, 2009 - exactly one month to the day after they met.
But what appeared to be a fairytale marriage soon revealed itself to be a facade.
The basketball star faced cheating allegations in July and August last year, with Jennifer Richardson and Polina Polonsky both coming forward claiming they had slept with the athlete while he was playing at away games without his wife.
Getting back on track: The 34-year-old was

intimate chat with the publication in which he revealed he still has
hopes of a future with Khloé
'I'm going through it, but I'm not through it':
Khloé told Australian radio station 2Day FM on Tuesday that she's still
healing from her split from her husband of four years
Later rumours suggested they weren't the only ones, with as many as five more women said to have bedded him.
On August 25, TMZ broke the story of Lamar's alleged crack cocaine drug use, which was said to have spiralled to dangerous heights, before he allegedly 'went missing' for three days.
Early on the morning of August 30, he was arrested for DUI and his license was automatically revoked when he refused to take a drug test.
While Khloé was said to be reluctant to file divorce papers as she clung to the hope that their marriage was still salvageable, when her husband posted a video of him clearly under the influence while rapping about drugs and cheating on his wife on November 22, it was the final straw.
On December 13, Khloé filed papers to have their marriage dissolved, citing irreconcilable differences.
The way they were: While the couple's whirlwind
romance seemed like a fairytale, sadly things weren't right between them
for a long time, with rumours of Lamar's alleged affairs with multiple
women surfacing in July and August last year
