Celine Dion makes cameo on The Voice to cheer on friend Sisaundra Lewis... who chooses Blake Shelton's team after a battle between the judges

For most contestants on The Voice, a key dream is to be recognised by some of the biggest stars in the music industry.
But one of the hopefuls on Monday's show already has a superstar backer - and got a personal message of support before her blind audition to prove it.
Celine Dion taped a video message to be played for Sisaundra Lewis, 44, in praise of the woman who was her vocal director on five world tours.

The message left Sisaundra - who gave up life on the road with Celine to raise her three daughters - wiping away tears as she waited for her big TV audition.

'I'll always remember how much fun we had on tour and you were always such a great singer,' Celine said in the message host Carson Daly played on a tablet computer. 'So I want to wish you the best of luck with your audition on The Voice! You go girl!'
After quitting music for her kids, they were the ones to tell her to get back in it, and Sisaundra admitted: 'After so many years I am ready to take centre stage.'

Her amazing performance of Aretha Franklin's Ain't No Way showed her time away had not stolen any of her vocal power - and soon had all four coaches fighting for her.
Shakira told her she had a 'ravishing voice', and insisted: 'These boys - they're not going to know how to take care of you. I'm good with girls.'
'So am I, baby,' heartthrob Adam Levine shot back, also telling her she was 'electric' and 'powerful'.

But in the biggest surprise so far this season, the soulful powerhouse ignored Usher, Shakira and Adam - and picked country star Blake Shelton as her coach.
He hadn't even made a strong case for himself, instead admitting he was 'completely over his head' because of her style of music.
But he won her over with his charming expression of genuine love for her performance, telling her he was thrilled to have turned in time to watch her sing and insisting:
'I would buy your record if it came out tomorrow. That's how I feel about it.'
'The way Blake looked at me and the way he was talking to me and the things he said - it felt like home,' she said, once more wiping away tears.

Sisaundra was one of two high points for Blake, who also did a moonwalk in celebration after beating the other coaches to landing Ryan Whyte Maloney, 33, after his amazing version of Lights by Journey.
Saying that 'he could potentially win this thing' Blake said he 'freakin' loved' the young dad's voice - and couldn't wait to show off when he was picked.
But they were rare moments of victory for Blake who spent most of the third night of blind auditions suffering knock out blows from Shakira.
The Latina superstar came out fighting - at one point even jokingly traded punches with Usher when he stole one of her favourite performers.

And even when she didn't land those she wanted, like Team Blake's Ryan, she still had the biggest impact.
'You got me from the very beginning,' Shakira told him. 'We're a match made in heaven and I think we should be together.'
'I'm going to save that in my memory forever,' the smitten-looking singer told her.
Blake - who always brags about his many previous season wins - admitted he was feeling the heat from Shakira on her return to the show.
'Man, I'm getting sick of Shakira,' he complained, later adding: 'Dang it, Shakira is starting to take a lot of good talent away from us.'
It may be even harder for him knowing that she has one key tactic - copying him.

'Whatever Blake did, I'm gonna do. Whenever he push his button, I'm gonna push my button,' she admitted when asked for her plan of action this season.
One of her key conquests was landing Clarissa Serna, 27, of Corpus Christi, Texas who wowed all four judges with her powerful version of the Cranberries' Zombie.
'I love you all … but ultimately I think I've got to go with my Latina soul sister, Miss Shakira,' Clarissa said excitedly.
'There was this immediate connection - it was heaven. Heaven.' Shakira said later.

But her biggest surprise came when stunning Melissa Jimenez, 29, of Fort Lee, New Jersey, chose Usher over her - even though they appeared to instantly connect.
Almost as soon as Usher started complimenting her on her beautiful rendition of If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys, Melissa instead appeared to focus entirely on his rival, saying excitedly: 'Hi Shakira!'
They also clicked over being Latina, with Shakira saying: 'Mi tambiƩn!'
Usher told her she was 'gorgeous', 'beautiful' and wanted 'to make history with you', but seemed resigned to have lost out over the excitement Melissa showed to Shakira.
But she stunned them all by picking Usher, saying she had 'been a fan since day one' and 'the artist I wanna be I can see being molded by this person'.
She later said of her new coach: 'He's pop, latin, R'n'B, soul, he's a dancer, an entertainer. I would like to be the female version of that.'

But Shakira had an easy time picking Deshawn Washington, 23, being the only one to turn for him - with the others instantly regretting it.
'Dang it - he's so good,' Blake admitted, while Usher said: 'Yeah I - I - I'm stupid.'
Praising him for 'representing classic soul music' with Sam Cooke's Twistin' The Night Away, Usher was almost instantly looking ahead and hoping for a chance to steal him in later rounds.
'I can't believe I didn't hit my button,' he said.
After Adam joked that Usher was 'dumber than I am', Shakira quipped: 'Guys get over it - I'm the only smart one.'

Meanwhile Usher had an unlikely pick, too, when the R'n'B star was the only one to turn for country act Brothers Walker - identical twins Cody and Clinton Walker - after their take on Zac Brown Band's Keep Me In Mind.
'Who'd have thunk it,' Usher admitted of his bearded country singers, adding: 'I am no authority on country music but what I do know is quality.'
The 26-year-old brothers - who once opened for Johnny Cash while they were still kids - were clearly happy with there coach, who had sneakily tapped the buzzer at the very last second with his right foot while leaning back in his chair so no one else would know he was turning.
After he told the twins it was 'odd for you' having him lead them, they insisted: 'Awesome is the word I would use to describe it, actually.'

But Usher was himself baffled when nanny Sam Behymer, 25, from Morgan Hill, Texas picked Adam over him as they both turned following her version of the Lorde hit Royals.
'The boys that I nanny, they are going to be very happy that I chose Adam - they LOVE Adam Levine,' said Sam, who revealed she is considering becoming a librarian if her music career does not take off.

Adam was far more thrilled to win Patrick Thomson, 35, from Festus, Missouri because he beat his key rival Blake, who seemed the more obvious choice for the gritty singer with a Southern rock style.
'Hey Blake - how's your butt feel? I just whooped it,' Adam gloated.
After his version of The Marshall Tucker Band's Can't You See, Adam praised Patrick's 'real grit' that he was jealous of, which Blake likened to sounding 'like you were gargling with broken glass before you came out here'.
'He's going to make you gargle with broken glass,' Adam joked of his rival.
Blake also admitted he lost another one - this time because none of them turned for Brendan Ryan after his imaginative acoustic rock version of Beyonce's Love On Top.
'I think you deserve to be in the competition - I missed one there, it's my fault, it's true,' Blake admitted, with all the coaches encouraging the 24-year-old from Braintree, Massachusetts to come back and try another season.
