'We're not finished!' Dreamworks hints at a fifth Shrek film... as plans for a London attraction are revealed

It's been four years since the last Shrek movie was released in 2010.

But now it looks like there will be a fifth and final film about everyone's favourite green ogre.

Dreamworks, the studio that produces the animated movies, has just hinted they still have another chapter in the the popular Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz voiced franchise.

CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg insists the story of the Shrek - who was created by American author, William Steig - still has 'another chapter' left to tell and insists they are 'not
finished' with the animated adventure.

Talking to Fox Business Network in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday, he said: 'We like to let them have a little bit of time to rest.'

'But I think you can be confident that we'll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We're not finished, and more importantly, neither is he.'

The most recent film, Shrek Forever After, was released in 2010 and featured the all star cast of  Mike Myers as male lead, and A-Listers Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz.

Despite receiving mixed reviews it grossed a worldwide total of over $752 million making it a commercial success and was believed to be the final installment in the Shrek series.

The films follow the character of Shrek as he develops a romance with Princess Fiona.

The four Shrek films have grossed $2.9 billion worldwide.

In related news, DreamWorks Animation announced Monday that it was teaming up with Merlin Entertainments to launch a Shrek themed visitor attraction in London, which will be called Shrek’s Far Far Away Adventure.

Opening in the summer of 2015, the 20,000 square foot attraction will include a live interactive adventure featuring Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots and other characters from the franchise.

It is the first of six Shrek attractions that will be unveiled over nine years.
