'They took my cover!' Churlish Drake moans that Rolling Stone replaced him with a tribute to the late Philip Seymour Hoffman

The immediacy of Twitter is the undoing of many an outspoken celebrity; and Drake has become the latest to shoot his mouth off without thinking about the implications of what he's saying.
The 27-year-old took to the social media site to complain that Rolling Stone had dropped his cover at the last minute.
A fair gripe, you might think, until you realise that Drake's cover was only ditched so the iconic magazine could honour the late great actor Philip Seymour Hoffman following his tragic death.

Nobody with any taste could object to the Academy Award winner - considered to be one of the finest actors of his generation - getting a tribute on the cover of the
industry bible.
And when Drake had a think about it, he obviously realised how his whinging sounded.
So he logged back into Twitter and wrote: 'RIP to Philip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil.'
According to TMZ, Rolling Stone pre-warned Drake that they needed to drop his cover to honour Hoffman; as is their norm when an industry pillar dies.
He also had a pop at the industry favourite for allegedly misquoting him on Kanye West.

He wrote: 'I never commented on Yeezus for my interview portion of Rolling Stone. They also took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue.'
In the interview he's quoted as saying: 'There were some real questionable bars on there. Like that ‘Swaghili’ line? Come on, man. Fabolous wouldn’t say some shit like that.'
Drake has also hit out at Macklemore for his text to Kendrick Lamar after he pipped the latter to Grammy.

Macklemore shared his 'I wanted you to win' missive on Instagram, but Drake thinks the move was completely disingenuous.
Or as he put it: 'That sh** was wack as f***.'
'I was like, "You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better - make better music'"
He added: 'It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?'
