The Black Eyed Peas star was stunned when he heard Liz Oki sing George Michael's A Different Corner, before telling her how much she reminded him of his aunt who died.
The visibly stunned rapper said: 'I had my back turned, when you sung the words 'I'm so scared', I thought of my auntie Stephanie and she passed away on Easter.

'My grandma passed away on Thanksgiving and I told myself that my aunt passed away to be with my grandma, but I know she was afraid.'
The 38-year-old added: 'My aunt used to sing for the whole family and we used to hold hands and pray for our family dinners and when I turn around you look... I mean you have the same skin complexion, and I thank you for singing today.'
Fellow coaches Sir Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson all wiped away tears as he spoke to Liz, who explained she was still getting over the loss of her adopted mother who died two weeks before her audition.

She told them: 'I grew up in two children's homes, in a babies home in Woking until I was five, and then a children's home in Harrogate until I was 15.
'The lady I called mum, was the one constant in my life right from when I was a child and has probably known me longer than anyone else I know. She passed two weeks ago.'
It isn't the first time Will.i.am has mentioned a family of member while offering feedback to a contestant.

Speaking about his own career, Will said: 'I was 12-years-old when I first started rapping in the house and there was my cousin, David, he used to tell me: 'Will you should write your raps down', so I wrote my raps down, he was like 'will you should record your raps', so I recorded my raps and my songs.
'I didn't have a cassette, so I recorded over my sisters cassette and I still carry that cassette everywhere I go, it's in my bag, my first demo.'

She is seen perched on top of grand piano as she chats away to the show's staff while a camera crew film her ahead of the live shows.
The Voice UK concludes its blind audition rounds on Saturday from 7PM on BBC1.
