The consummate professional plastered a huge grin on her face and showed off her amazing curves in a figure-flattering gown as she moved past the disappointment.
With her critically-acclaimed movie Lee Daniels' The Butler failing to score a single nomination at the upcoming illustrious awards ceremony, she had every reason to be down in the dumps.
Unstoppable: Oprah Winfrey put the
disappointment of not being nominated for an Oscar for her performance
in Lee Daniels' The Butler behind her as she hit the red carpet at the
19th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards on Thursday
But as with a break-up, the best revenge is to look a million dollars, and the actress certainly did that at the event held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
Her ample cleavage stole the show, hoiked up nice and high giving her plenty of volume in her v-neck dress.
The emerald green number featured three-quarter sleeves and a pleated skirt, while her tiny waist was accentuated with a black bow belt.
Too cool for school! The media mogul sported
large dark shades as she first appeared on the carpet at the event held
at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica
The best revenge: The star looked a million
bucks in her emerald frock, which featured three-quarter sleeves, a
pleated skirt and low-cut neckline that exposed plenty of cleavage,
while she cinched in her tiny waist with a cute black bow belt
Oprah wore her dark brown shoulder-length tresses in her favoured voluminous curled style and matched her eyeshadow to her gown, completing her look with glossy bronze lips.
The star looked youthful as ever as she gears up to celebrate her 60th birthday on January 29.
She glammed up with plenty of sparkling gold accessories in the form of runs, dangly earrings and bangles, while she held onto a matching small gold clutch.
No hard feelings: The 59-year-old enjoyed a chat
and a photo op with Best Supporting Actress Oscar-nominee Julia Roberts
as the pair made their way into the event
Youthful appearance: The actress looked radiant
as she gears up to celebrate her 60th birthday on January 29,
accessorising with plenty of shiny gold bling and with her hair and
make-up worn in a flattering style
Showing off her sense of fun as she first hit the carpet, Oprah donned large black shades to pose
for photographers, though she soon disposed of them as she got down to the serious business
of posing.
Of course, the star did have something to celebrate on the night, as she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, though she sadly missed out to 12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong'o.
And while she may have missed out on an Academy Award nomination, she wasn't above congratulating those who were.
The star enjoyed a chat and a photo op with Best Supporting Actress nominee Julia Roberts, who looked lovely in a short-sleeved black and white patterned fishtail frock.
What an honour: During the evening's
proceedings, Oprah presented her Butler co-star Forest Whitaker with the
Joel Siegel Award for his tireless charity work
Well-deserved:
The good friends posed together as the actor proudly held his award,
which he received for the great work he's doing in the community through
his Whitaker Peace And Development Initiative, which is dedicated to
helping people affected by violence
Julia, who was recognised for her performance in August: Osage County, will compete against Lupita Nyong'o, Sally Hawkins, Jennifer Lawrence and June Squibb in the category when the show airs on March 2.
Host with the most: The night's MC, actress and
The Talk panellist Aisha Tyler, also cosied up for a photo with the pair
in a break from the live telecast
Say cheese! The star made a beeline for stunning
Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o to congratulate her on
her big win, despite having lost out as she was also nominated in the
same category
