Natural beauty Cameron Diaz goes make-up free on hike with Amanda de Cadenet after telling women to love their bodies in new book

She encourages women to embrace their bodies and follow a healthy lifestyle in her new self-help book.
And Cameron Diaz clearly practices what she preaches.
The 41-year-old displayed her barefaced beauty in a Twitter picture with pal Amanda de Cadenet during a hike on Friday.

The actress wore a flannel shirt for the outing as she gave a small smile for the camera, while Amanda posed with her head on the star's shoulder.

Cameron wore her platinum blonde hair pulled back, with her long fringe flicked over to one side.
She showed off her naturally clear and smooth complexion, no doubt a by-product of her healthy lifestyle.

Cameron released her health tome Body Book on Tuesday, just in time for the new year.
The blonde bombshell aims to empower other women in making healthy decisions.
The manual is comprised of three parts that cover nutrition, fitness and mind.
In one section, she even encourages women to eschew Brazilian waxes and embrace their natural bikini lines.

The actress admitted recently that although she eats healthily, she indulges on occasion.
'I still splurge on french fries,' she told People in a recent interview. 'Discipline is not deprivation.'

Still, the Bad Teacher star has come a long way from her twenties when she was a Drive-Thru queen.
'I used to live on processed fast food,' she admitted. 'I drank a ton of soda and ate greasy, cheesy foods constantly. I'd eat until I hurt myself! I would literally be lying there going, "Why did I do that?"'
She turned her life around when she stopped eating refined sugars and processed foods.
'They are really not meant to be ingested,' the Mask actress said.

'If you understand how your body works you can make the right choices,' she added.
'I used to have bad acne and little white bumps. I cut out dairy and my skin changed completely.'
The leggy lady then shared her favorite meal, which is an odd twist on an old breakfast favourite.

'Savory oatmeal is my favorite thing in the world,' she said.
'I make it al dente, with caramelized leeks, green vegetables and ponzu sauce - so good.'
The Vogue cover girl - who has been spotted numerous times going back and forth to the gym - also admitted she's not working out as much as she'd like to.

'I'll get back to it,' she said. 'At least when I'm working, I'm being physical all day. Acting's a very physical job.'
Cameron, who has always kept a positive attitude, is characteristically upbeat about heading toward middle age.
'I love getting older,' she told the magazine.
'It's a part of life. If you're not aging, you're dead!'
