Anna Kaiser, the founder of AKT In Motion gym in New York, told Shape.com that she has been working with the 43-year-old, mother-of-three for three years and she is very dedicated to fitness.
'[Kelly] works out four to five days per week for 90 minutes per session. Her work ethic is more insane than anyone I’ve ever met! She’s so driven, present, excited, and focused.'
Dedicated to fitness: Talk show host Kelly Ripa -
seen in this recently tweeted photo - works out up to seven-and-a-half
hours a week in a bid to maintain her taut six-pack, her personal
trainer has revealed
Ms Kaiser, whose client list includes Sarah Jessica Parker and Shakira, says that two days of the week Ms Ripa will use light weights and complete highly repetitive
exercises to tone up.
In the following sessions she will switch to heavy weights and perform less repetitions, which helps create a bulkier physique.
If they manage to fit in one more workout class around Ms Ripa's hectic schedule, this will focus on improving flexibility.

Fit at 43: '[Kelly] works out four to five days

'Sometimes it’s full body, another time it might be upper body or biceps/triceps. It always has to change. If you’re always doing the same thing, your body will start getting used to that.'
Showing the fruits of her hard work, Ms Ripa tweeted a photograph last week of her at the gym with her insanely flat stomach on display.

Not an ounce of fat! The pint-sized blonde apparently also likes to keep an eye on what she eats
Ms Kaiser said that the secret behind Ms Ripa's rippled abs are 'planks', with some of her favorite variations of the move being the side plank and plank jumping jacks.
'Just be sure to hold that naval to the spine as hard as you can,' she advised.
'As
for [repetitions], do as many as you can and try for more on your next
workout. If you can only do five on Tuesday, make sure you do six or
seven on Wednesday.

'The only rule? Never go back to five! Always continue pushing forward.'
Ms Ripa let a camera crew from her television show, Live! with Kelly and Michael, film her during a workout with Ms Kaiser earlier this year.
The 5ft 3in TV personality was seen breaking a sweat while performing crunches, planks and push-ups.
'We're working out two hours today, we're going to burn 1,200 calories,' Ms Kaiser exclaimed in one clip.
Busy mom: Along with working out, Ms Ripa also
has to find time to spend with her husband, Mark Consuelos, and three
children (from left) Lola, Joaquin and Michael
She said when Ms Ripa fist visited her she did not have the same kind of stamina or strength that she has today.
Along with taking trips to Ms Kaiser, Ms Ripa's Twitter account reveals that she is also a SoulCycle enthusiast.
In October she took part in a charity ride along with fellow TV host, Anderson Cooper.
As well as sticking to a strict exercise schedule, Ms Ripa apparently keeps an eye on what she eats.
'Kelly is very knowledgeable about nutrition - she knows what’s good for her and loves veggies and eating healthy.
'She will eat throughout the day but always in moderation,' her trainer, Ms Kaiser, observed.
