The 44-year-old star and his wife, Brazilian model Camila Alves, took their three children back to her home town of Belo Horizonte in south east Brazil for the holidays.
On Saturday the couple were spotted with five-year-old Levi, Vida, three, and Livingston, who is just 11 months old, enjoying a morning sight-seeing stroll up a fairly steep hill.

Camila, 31, pushed the tot in a stroller leaving Matthew to carry a rucksack and wrangle Levi and Vida.
Their little girl, who was wearing a black T-shirt and a black skirt with white stars, did not appear to be in a good mood, prompting her dad to have a few words with her.
The family were dressed for the warmer temperatures in the city, whose name means 'beautiful horizons' in the native Portuguese.

The 6ft star wore sand-coloured cargo shorts, a yellow T-shirt and a bandana wrapped around his head, with colourful striped socks and well worn trainers.
His beautiful brunette wife showed off her model curves in blue skinny jeans and a black T-shirt as she pushed Livingston.
Levi looked like a typical little boy in a stripey T-shirt and blue jeans. He and Vida take after their dad and have Matthew's thick, curly hair.

The family flew to South America after Matthew wrapped up promotional duties for The Wolf Of Wall Street in New York where he and Camilla walked the red carpet for the premiere on December 17. The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio opens in the US on Christmas Day.
The family should enjoy their downtime as they will soon be back in Los Angeles for the busy award season.
The actor has landed nominations from the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Critics' Choice Movie Awards for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, with the Oscar nominations still to come.
