The 38-year-old shone in an aquamarine gown which had a beaded panel across the collarbone and she wore her hair in a side-bun with a rock-star quiff detail.

It sounds like Longoria's been so busy with her charity work, (she is the honorary chair of the Global Gift Foundation) that she hadn't heard of globally famous band, One Direction. Speaking to Dubai's Ahlan! publication she said: 'I don't know any of them except Harry Styles. Is Harry Styles even in that band? Is that right? I'm probably saying the wrong person, I just don't know them.'
Gown on the town: The star looked stunning in a

The magazine also cheekily asked her whether she would prefer her man to have a body like Mario Lopez or Ricky Martin and she replied:
'Oh
gosh, I love Ricky. I have to say Ricky Martin. Mario loves working out
too much. He’s obsessed with working out and I don’t like that.'
Terrific trophy: Eva presented singer Ricky
Martin with the Global Gift Humanitarian award for his work with
children's charities
Job well done: Ricky Martin looked as pleased as punch to be recognised for his work
On a more serious note, Longoria was thrilled to be involved with such a good cause and said in a statement:'The Global Gift Foundation is really growing and so I'm delighted to be presenting the first Global Gift Gala here in Dubai, especially at the fantastic Supperclub in Dubai.
'We have had phenomenal success with our galas around the world and really hope to build on this with the support and generosity from everyone here, all of whom have been so welcoming.'

she prefers his body to that of Mario Lopez's
The Gala had partnered with Noor Dubai Foundation for the evening, an organisation which aims to provide eyesight care to vulnerable groups in Dubai.

Singing legend: Maxwell treated the audience to a performance on the night
'I grew up with a special needs sister,' she said at a press conference ahead of the gala. (Eva's sister, Elizabeth, was born with Down's syndrome.)
'I was kind of born into my sister’s world of being around people who were different, and being around people who were less fortunate.'
Eva is one of five girls and she says that Elizabeth is the light of her life.
