'She wants to shut their party down entirely': Now Gwyneth Paltrow 'urges friends to boycott Vanity Fair's annual Oscars bash'

Gwyneth Paltrow has asked her celebrity friends to boycott Vanity Fair magazine's annual Oscars party next year, according to reports.
The mother-of-two is said to have urged her famous pals, who include some of the world's most recognised stars, not to attend the bash because of the way the publication has allegedly treated her.
The war between Gwyneth and Vanity Fair began when the magazine revealed its intention to publish an 'epic takedown' of the actress following her refusal to cooperate with a planned cover story on her, and the star taking offense to the harder edge the magazine is taking towards Hollywood's elite.

A source told RadarOnline.com: 'Gwyneth feels her relationship with the magazine has been destroyed and she’s urging pals not just to avoid doing business with the
magazine, but to skip the mag’s Oscar party as well.
'To be frank, she wants to shut their Oscar party down entirely.'
And it's not the first time that Gwyneth has attempted to stage something of a celebrity coup against Graydon Carter's publication.
According to reports in May, the star composed a letter to friends after recent 'unflattering' articles the magazine printed about Tom Cruise and her ex-fiancé Brad Pitt.

'Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine,' she wrote. 'If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.'
Last month, Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was forced to deny any 'romantic relationship' with supermodel Elle Macpherson's billionaire husband Jeff Soffer - after it was claimed their friendship may be probed in the explosive article.
The magazine was said to be delving into rumours over her friendship with the property developer, according to Page Six, following a 2008 party in Miami during which they were seen looking close.

According to Page Six, researchers on the story by Vanity Fair contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis have been asking Miami society sources questions about Paltrow and Soffer, who recently married Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Soffer was reportedly 'closed off in a private section' with Gwyneth, clad in a little white dress, when she attended the lavish re-opening of his Miami hotel the Fontainebleau in 2008.
He then reportedly gave Gwyneth a private tour of the hotel, whisking her away in his Bentley, and the following day, she joined him on his yacht with Kate Hudson.

However, a spokesman for the Oscar winner told told MailOnline: 'It's completely false. Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there was no romantic relationship with him at all. He flew many of his friends to Miami that weekend - not just Gwyneth.'
Billionaire real estate developer Soffer, 44, married Elle, 49, in August in an intimate ceremony in Fiji after dating on and off since 2009.
A source said: 'They wanted to keep the wedding a secret. They are very happy and head over heels in love.'
It is still as yet unknown as to when the article will be published in Vanity Fair and it is not suggested that Miss Grigoriadis has in fact unearthed any material to fuel speculation about Gwyneth's marriage - or to let alone suggest that she has ever cheated on her husband.
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Gwyneth for comment on the boycott claims.
