J-Lo chops her locks to go from glam pop diva at the AMAs to playing a divorced mother on the set of her new movie

Jennifer Lopez goes from fabulous to, well, slightly less fabulous by changing her hairstyle and colour in just 48 hours.
On Sunday night J-Lo was the glamorous singing diva with three outfit changes and matching updos on stage at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

From glam to mum: After appearing as the pop diva on Sumday night at the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez changed her hair dramatically to resume her role as a divorced mum

At an after party in her honor hosted by Dean and Dan of Dsquared2 at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, she let down her honey blonde tresses, which draped across her shoulders and down past her chest.

The 44-year-old brushed in a centre parting to allow tendrils of hair to better frame her heart-shaped face.

On Tuesday, she had seemingly chopped her locks to resume filming her role in The Boy Next Door.

In the film, the star plays an ordinary divorced mum who has an illicit affair with her teenage son's friend that goes horribly wrong when she tries to end it.
Costume designers downplayed her gorgeous looks in dowdy ripped jeans and a blue plaid shirt.
Her side-parted hair was a rich brunette and a few inches shorter than her glorious Sunday night look, which may well have been augmented by long, lighter extensions.

Since Jennifer has been busy filming in Los Angeles for a few weeks now, her stylists have obviously become adept at making sure the busy star can preserve the look of her locks for continuity purposes.
The movie co-stars include John Corbett, Kristin Chenoweth, Hill Harper and Pretty Little Liars star Ryan Guzman as the boy who can't let go.
It is being directed by Rob Cohen and produced by Blumhouse Productions, best known for the horror hits Insidious and Paranormal Activity. It has not been given a release date yet.
