Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has come under pressure to try and fix her image problem following her feud with Vanity Fair.
According to RadarOnline
the 41-year-old is being urged to do something ‘big’ like ‘gain weight
for a Bridget Jones style film role’ to get the public back on her side.
An
insider told the website that between the negative press and poor
ticket sells for her latest film Thank You For Sharing, the actress
needs to make a change.
Time for change: Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly being urged to do something 'big' to change her image
They
said: ‘She has to fix this problem before she commits to more work.
There is a significant image problem at work and Gwyneth doesn’t want to
have another baby to
fix it.'
It’s thought that following
her tragic miscarriage, which she opened up about for the first time in
the Mail On Sunday back in March, she’s not keen to try for another
child with her husband Chris Martin.
According
to the insider, she does have another option: ‘It looks like she will
have to undergo either some weight gain for a role that wins her Bridget
Jones-style sympathy or perhaps do a play on Broadway or in London that
will allow her to reconnect with her core fans.’
Trouble in paradise: It's thought the poor reception of her latest film Thanks For Sharing hasn't helped the situation
And
apparently the actress is hell bent on fixing it, with the insider
adding: ‘She knows there’s a problem, and is focused on fixing it. She’s
completely lost the public’s sympathy with her ‘little miss perfect’
image.’
The war between
Gwyneth and Vanity Fair began when the magazine revealed its intention
to publish an 'epic takedown' of the actress following her refusal to
cooperate with a planned cover story on her, and the star taking offense
to the harder edge the magazine is taking towards Hollywood's elite.
Things escalated when it was reported she had asked her celebrity fans to boycott their annual Oscar’s party next year.
Change on the way: The actress is being urged 'to either gain weight or do a Broadway play'
However the actress is vehemently
denying the claims, with her representative telling MailOnline the
allegations are 'completely false'.
'Gwyneth has not asked anyone to not attend the party,' the Iron Man actress’s rep said.
Lost it: Gwyneth is thought to be aware that people aren't keen ' ¿little miss perfect¿ image'
Last
month, Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was
forced to deny any 'romantic relationship' with supermodel Elle
Macpherson's billionaire husband Jeff Soffer - after it was claimed
their friendship may be probed in the explosive article.
Again
however, a spokesman for the Oscar winner told told MailOnline: 'It's
completely false. Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there was
no romantic relationship with him at all. He flew many of his friends to
Miami that weekend - not just Gwyneth.'
It
is unclear exactly when the issue of Vanity Fair will drop, however
it's believed to be before the Oscars in March – the January issue is
due out on the 11th December while the February issue will hit
newsstands on 8th January.
