Expecting a long day? Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere grab a caffeine fix as they head to set of their new film

Sometimes all it takes is a good cup of coffee.
Richard Gere and Dakota Fanning were clearly both in need of a little pick be up as they headed to set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday.
Clearly, preparing for a long day the pair were still in good spirits as they arrived for filming wrapped up warm to ward off the East Coast cold temperatures.

Former child actress Dakota may have needed a caffeine fix but looked impossible fresh as she stepped out of her trailer.
Clearly the 19-year-old had a jump on her Franny co-star who arrived by car to set after her.
It was easy to tell however, that the I Am Sam star was not in full costume yet as Dakota was not sporting her character's baby bump as she has in previous days of filming.

The young blonde went for an understated cool look, wearing a pair of loose fitting blue jeans that she rolled up to expose her unusually cut ankle boots.

Besides the large cup of coffee, Dakota accessorised with a big blue scarf and a pair of simple black glasses over her alabaster skinned face.
Richard also went for understated, but not exactly cool.

No limo needed: Richard drove himself to work in a bright red mini van

Despite being one of Hollywood's most beloved actors, and no doubt one of the best paid, the 64-year-old drove himself on set in a large bright red Chrysler mini van often favoured by soccer moms.
Carrying his belongings in a book bag, the star also made sure to bring the newspaper, no doubt to enjoy while drinking his coffee in the environmentally friendly reusable Thermos mug.

The two actors are currently filming Franny, in which Dakota plays a pregnant newlywed who, along with her husband, is befriended by a hedonistic philanthropist, Richard, who meddles in their relationship in an attempt to relive his past.
