The 58-year-old singer has been required to pay $3,000 a month to his ex-wife Alejandra Jackson in support of 17-year-old Jaafar and 13-year-old Jermajesty.
The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department in April filed legal documents stating that the singer was a year behind in payments and owed $30,000.

Tuesday.
The Child Support Services Department recently filed documents asking a judge to hold Jermaine in contempt for not paying his child support and that could put him in jail for 20 days. He also recently had his wages garnished by his ex-wife.
Jermaine earlier this month bought a $160,000 Ferrari the day before a Los Angeles jury decided that concert promoter AEG Live was not responsible for the 2009 death of his pop superstar brother Michael from acute propofol intoxication. The Jackson family had sued seeking a multi-billion dollar judgment.

Jermaine claimed back then that he wasn't making his payments because he didn't have any money.
The Jackson 5 singer in 2007 appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK and in 2008 joined the Gone Country television show.

The two have three children together, including adopted son Donte who was born in 1992.
Alejandra used to be brother Randy Jackson's girlfriend and also has two children with him.
