Nasty on the X-Factor but Simon Cowell has revealed that he is happier
than ever now that he is set to become a father for the first time.
The 53-year-old music mogul said that while the news of his parenthood came as a shock he coped with it by ‘being a man’.
He told People: ‘I didn't think it was going to happen. But you have to deal with it as a man: Let it happen naturally.’

His partner Florida-born Lauren Silverman, 36, is around three months pregnant and is believed to be expecting a boy.
She was still married to Cowell’s friend Andrew Silverman, 37, when news of the shock pregnancy was revealed last month.
Lauren divorced from her ex-husband of ten years in August, with Cowell admitting that the situation was difficult.

But Cowell has now revealed that he has come to terms with becoming a father.
He said: ‘That's all been settled now," he says. "I love her and I love the fact that I'm having this baby.’
Earlier this month, he shared his joy on seeing Lauren’s first baby scans.

He told The Times
newspaper: ‘I went to see a scan today and it is just surreal. You
literally see this thing which is now alive moving around. I feel very
paternal right now.’
Meanwhile,
Simon’s Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Amanda Holden has speculated that
the star will choose a traditional baby name.
She told Entertainment Wise: ‘Simon is a traditionalist so he will go for something classy.’
But she did refer to Simon’s famous ego in suggesting that he could name his child Simon.
‘He might name it after himself,’ she joked.
She also added that she hasn’t sent any baby gifts yet, saying: ‘I haven't sent anything. I'm way too superstitious like that.’
