Miami's famous South Beach could soon be renamed South Becks!
Victoria and David Beckham are looking to buy a pad in the Florida hotspot now that Becks is planning to launch a US soccer team.
The couple settled back in the UK following their move from LA late last year.
But now Posh, 39, and Becks, 38, are eyeballing one of the most iconic houses in the world: the OTT Versace mansion on Ocean Drive.
The stunning villa, known as Casa Casuarina, was once home to fashion designer Gianni Versace and has a dark history.
He was tragically shot dead on his doorstep in 1997 in a seemingly random act of violence.
Until recently, the palatial oceanside property was an exclusive boutique hotel, but it's going up for auction on 17 September with an expected sale price of £26 million.
Yet even that price is considered a bargain.
Last year, the current owners unsuccessfully tried to sell the property for a huge £82 million.
'The Beckhams' people have enquired about the mansion, but it's all very hush-hush,' says our source.
'It's an incredibly beautiful family home and oozes Gianni Versace's style ideas.
'Posh would be in heaven.
'She's positively drooling at the prospect of living there.
'It'll be very much a second home for them because they intend to be based in the UK from now on.
'But if all goes well with David's football venture they'll spend a lot of time in Miami and want a spectacular house right by the water.'
