Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens: I was an introverted oddball child who lived on ice cream

Vanessa Hudgens says she struggled to fit in with other kids as a young student. The actress, who plays wild teen Candy in Spring Breakers, was pretty lonely until she reached her teens . ‘My parents were kinda strict when I was growing up, but I was pretty well behaved,' reveals Vanessa, 24. ‘I was shy, introverted and didn't have any friends until I was 12. I just wasn't popular. ‘I was also a bit of an oddball at school.' Vanessa indulged herself in her favourite treats. I was extremely unhealthy,' she tells The Sunday Times Magazine, 'and used to live on tubs of ice cream and Cheetos.'
