The likely deal between Andrew and Lauren Silverman, who is pregnant with Cowell’s spawn, comes after Cowell met with the spurned spouse at an airport in the Hamptons over the Aug. 2 weekend.
'X Factor' judge Cowell intends to rent Lauren an apartment in Manhattan while the divorce is being settled.
The “X Factor” judge had flown in from Las Vegas after a One Direction show Friday night. He later flew to the south of France to relax on his boat.
It was the first time the two men had spoken since news broke that Lauren, 36, had not only cheated on her husband with Cowell but was carrying the star’s love child.

Sources close to Andrew Silverman say he and estranged wife Lauren hope to reach an amicable divorce agreement by the end of the week.
Andrew named Cowell in divorce papers he filed in Manhattan Supreme Court which accused Lauren of “cruel and inhuman treatment” — but the “American Idol” ex-panelist, 53, is lobbying to keep his name out of the divorce, sources said.
Sources close to both Silvermans are confident an agreement will be reached by week’s end.

Cowell is reportedly excited at the prospect of being a father.
“Everyone is trying to resolve this amicably,” said one source. “Andrew and Simon have been friends for six years so there is a lot of history there.
“They met in private because so much about this story has leaked out to the press and they really wanted this to be between them.”

The showdown took place at Francis S. Gabreski Airport, near where Lauren has been staying with her 7-year-old son Adam.
“Everyone is conscious that there is a 7-year-old boy that is the priority here,” the source said.
Cowell plans to rent Lauren a Manhattan apartment while the divorce is being resolved.
“Lauren and Simon are together and they are working everything out as best they can,” said a friend of Cowell’s from London. “Simon is happy and excited and in a great place. He is supportive of Lauren and looking forward to becoming a dad. . . . Everyone is trying to sort this out fairly and quickly. We all expect it to be wrapped up by the end of the week.”
