Kate Middleton Getting Help Raising George From Hospital Midwives

Kate has successfully settled into motherhood and she tackled those daunting first days with baby George all on her own. New reports explain that Kate is looking to experts for a little extra help with the baby — including the hospital midwives who helped her deliver her son.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have expressed that they want to be “independent” in the raising of
their son Prince George – but even the most independent moms need a little help sometimes! Kate Middleton is receiving some help in the care of her child — beyond her husband Prince William‘s helpful diaper changes!

The Duchess of Cambridge was on her own for the first few days after giving birth to her son, Prince George. “Everything, including breast-feeding, went so well that they decided not to hire a private maternity nurse,” an insider tells People magazine.
“Word in aristocratic circles is that the couple changed course after a few days and called for backup, possibly by tapping one of the midwives who assisted Kate at St. Mary’s Hospital in London,” reports People.
“It is very common for members of the royal family to see the same midwife through the pregnancy, at the birth and then for that midwife to stay on for postnatal care,” Sarah Dixon, a London-based maternity nurse tells People. “It means it will be someone Kate knows and trusts.

Kate Middleton’s Helping Hands

It takes a village to raise a baby, so imagine the crew that the royal baby would demand! As we have previously reported, Kate is getting valuable assistance and guidance from her mom Carole Middleton, while staying at the family home in Bucklebury. Kate will likely have to rely more heavily upon Palace staff and workers when her family moves into their Kensington Palace apartment in September.
