Chris Brown: The Truth Behind His Rihanna & Drake Tweet

After Chris removed his August 21 tweet that seemed to simultaneously compliment his ex Rihanna and diss his nemesis Drake, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned why Chris posted the message in the first place. Keep reading for all the details!

Apparently Chris Brown wasn’t taking a shot at Drake or complimenting Rihanna in the Twitter message he posted telling his fans to check out Jacquees’ song “Girls Love Rihanna,” a remix of Drake‘s  “Girls
Love Beyonce.” Instead, Chris was just ”showing some love” to his new protégé, up-and-coming R&B singer Jacquees!

Chris Brown Tweets ‘Girls Love Rihanna’: Shout-Out To Jacquees

While Chris has definitely used Twitter to diss people in the past, this time his tweet was well-intentioned.
“He got mad love for the homie Jacquees,” a source close to the X artist tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “That’s like his little brother and he was showing him love on the internet and making sure folks checked out his music.”

Chris, 24, is also mentoring the young artist, which includes taking him aboard private jets to the various venues where he performs. Must be nice! Breezy even collaborated with Jacquees on his newly released song “Won’t Turn It Down.”
“Chris is showing him the ropes,” adds the source. “He took the little homie with him to Connecticut when he had a venue to do. They like family.”
It’s great to see Chris taking a new artist under his wing. Jacquees could probably learn a lot about the music business from Breezy!

Chris Brown Tweets Words Of Wisdom

We told you Chris gave his Twitter followers something to think about when he posted some words of wisdom about how love is meant to come from the heart.
On August 20, Chris tweeted, ”Love ya self for what u do out of ya heart. Don’t love someone for what they do for you becuz 9 times outta 10 it’s for a come up.”
At the time, we thought this was a dig at Rihanna, but Chris could have just been giving his protégé Jacquees some friendly advice about the music industry.
