Jordan and husband Kieran Hayler have named the baby boy, who arrived 8 weeks prematurely 'last week', Jett Riviera.
He weighed 5lb 2oz and was delivered in an emergency Caesarean operation after Katie's waters broke during a foreign holiday.
The 35-year-old, who was on a family European road trip, was hospitalised as doctors battled to keep her son in the womb for as long as possible.
But then, as feared because the amniotic sac had split, Katie is reported to have developed a life-threatening infection.
'I went through a nightmare. The baby's heart rate was also really low,' Katie tells The Mirror. 'The next thing I know the nurse is in my room saying, "Get ready now".'
Katie texted Kieran, 26, who was out shopping, but he was not allowed into the operating theatre.
'I was in a state. He's never seen me like that before. He must have thought his wife had turned into a lunatic... I was sobbing, "I love you, I love you",' she tells The Sun.
The couple are now staying in a nearby villa so they can visit Jett who is being looked after at a special care unit.
He is a baby brother for Katie's kids - Harvey, 11, whose dad is footballer Dwight Yorke, and Junior, 8, and Princess, 6, from her marriage to Peter Andre.
