Ellen DeGeneres makes $15 million in profit after selling LA mansion for whopping $55 million, just six months after moving in

She purchased the famous modernist mansion The Brody House back in January for a cool $40 million.
But now, just six months after moving in, Ellen DeGeneres is offloading the Los Angeles pad for $55 million, making an impressive $15 million profit.
TMZ report that the 56-year-old talk show host sold the Holmby Hills home to Napster co-founder Sean Parker.

Parker 'went nuts over the famous house and Ellen's interior design' according to the website. And although Ellen wasn't initially keen to sell, she couldn't resist Parker's offer
and the deal apparently closed last Thursday.
Ellen and her wife Portia De Rossi will have no shortage of places to live - they own a $26 million six bedroom mansion in Santa Barbara and recently combined splashed out $16 million for a Beverly Hills condo.
The couple, who have been married for six years, combined two units in the exclusive Beverly West complex for their new LA base.

Prior to Ellen's purchase, the home had been extensively remodelled with smooth walled interiors, spotless wood features and marble floors all featured.
The glass-walled home features six bedrooms and nine baths, and counts Playboy founder Hugh Hefner among its high-profile neighbours.
