The 38-year-old actress and 12-year-old Maddox strolled shoulder to shoulder as they arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday with Brad Pitt.
While the 50-year-old actor strolled a few steps ahead, Angelina stayed close to Maddox who was almost as tall she is.

The family had just flown in from London where Brad and Angelina had attended the BAFTA s in support of his film 12 Years A Slave, which scooped up best film and best
actor awards.
The trio was looking tired but happy after the long flight and looking forward no doubt to rejoining the rest of the Jolie-Pitt clan at home.
Even though Maddox isn't a baby anymore, his protective mother couldn't resist reaching for his hand as they exited the terminal and headed to a waiting car.
Angelina was dressed in an artistic black poncho, tight-fitting black leather leggings and black ballet flats.

Her pre-teen son was similarly decked out in a black sweat shirt with red graphics in the front, as well as blue jeans and black beanie.
Brad lightened up the group in beige baggy trousers, a white T-shirt and beige jacket, and he held a brown leather carry-on bag.

While travel has become the norm for the family, Angelina and Maddox were spotted arriving at LAX just on Friday, Valentine's Day, with Brad nowhere in sight.
Angelina and Brad did manage to share a romantic getaway recently, just the two of them.
